I lived in Carbondale, until I was 2 years old. Then we moved to California, where I stayed until I joined the Armed Forces on October, 10th. 1975, at the age of 17.
I got out in July, 1983. At the out processing Station, I meet the brother of a friend that I had served with in Europe, and he asked me if I wanted to go to a wedding.
His friend lived in the Blue Grass State of Kentucky. I had never actually seen Blue Grass, so I took him up on his offer and never looked back.

Harold at 5 & Me at 3
This Picture was taken in the summer of 1961. We where at Knott's Barry Farm in California. Harold & I where very close to each other, through thick & thin. We laughed together, we cried together and we even fought together. Most of the time we where fighting each other. Life was very rough back then, this picture was taken 2 year after we moved from Carbondale Ill. Mom used to call us her {little Monkeys}, always into everything.
Me on October 23rd, 1999 While attending Our Grand Daughters Wedding
I have worked all my life up until 1998, when the Doctors informed me that I will never work again. My first job paid a meager $ 1.80 an hour. I was 14 years old at the time, and I worked as a cabinet maker with my Father. I have a Trapped nerve in my right leg which allows me to fall down at times for no reason. I have {Degenerative Disk Disease} in the Lumber, {L-3, L-4 and L-5} which causes a lot of pain all of the time, no cure, just drugs to try to control the pain. I also have what they call {Aortic Stenosis}, not severe enough for major surgery yet!! I have one blocked artery, in the back of my heart that they can't do anything about, it is to small for Angioplasty or a Stent, they are scared that the artery will burst and I could die during the procedure. Now a day's I try to stay busy with our Computer. I make a lot of errors because of the drugs, so I have to proof read everything that I write so bare with me.
Up-date:
On February 8th, 2008 - I had gotten so bad with {Aortic Stenosis} - V.A. Hospital sent me to Memphis Tnn. to undergo an {Aortic Valve Replacement} - The V.A. said that I was to young for a Bovine Valve - So they installed a {St. Jude Mechanical Heart Valve}. It took me just a little over 1 year from date of surgery to completely recover and return to as normal as someone can living on a large amount of Medication to combat the Artificial / Prosthetic Heart Valve rejection.

My darling wife Linda
Linda & I have been together since July of 1983 now and I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. Linda and I have had a hard life together at times,
But that was a very long time ago.
Linda and I live a comfortable life now together and would never trade or do anything different.
When we got Married we said UNTIL DEATH DO US PART, and we meant it.
